GRADUATION DAY!

Published by admin under Basic card, Copic markers

We were hit hard this year with three high school graduations all at once. What to do? I came up with the idea of re-cycling! Here’s what I did.

Happy Graduation, Katie!

Happy Graduation, Katie!

Using SUPERGIRL, I stamped her a few times and colored her in using my COPICS (thanks to learning some skills from Vicki Garrett). After cutting her out I then cut out an additional skirt, heart and shoes and popped them up with foam tape. She needed a graduation cap so I cut out a little mortarboard for her head and sewed a little tassel with some gold metallic thread. Voila! She’s all ready to graduate. Since the Graduation announcement was so pretty, I used it as my ‘card’. I also cut out Katie’s name from the enclosed name card and glued it on the front. The announcment wording was not lost either, but instead, I cut it out and glued it to the back of the card. Katie would now have something to insert into her scrapbook.

Next came Morgan’s card.

Happy Graduation, Morgan!

Done the same way except in REDS to match her high school colors. And Morgan has blonde hair so her SUPERGIRL was just a tad different.

Third was a young man, Jamal.

Happy Graduation, Jamal!” title=”grad-jamal4″ width=”300″ height=”228″ class=”size-medium wp-image-295″ /><p class=Happy Graduation, Jamal!

Using BOWTIE, I colored in with blue for Jamal’s high school colors.

Happy Graduation everyone! May you all stride for good grades while still having time to enjoy some college fun! We’re so proud of each and every one of you! Bonne Chance Mes Amis!

Christmas in MAY

Vicki Garrett from Canada…..a WHIZ with the COPIC markers. Check out her beautiful work using our NO SNOW NOSE by Kylie D’Orio. Kylie grew up around birds of all sorts, thus her ‘expertise’ drawing such a variety that we carry.
Didn’t Vicki do a great job with this stamp? I love her color combo and what a fun Christmas card this would make! Here in the desert southwest we start early making our holiday cards cause its so hot outdoors. We have to stay in and keep cool, so what better to do than craft some cards! You can hop over to Vicki’s blog heresad-frosty-close-upsad-frosty. Notice how Vicki shaded around the eyes and head? She’s good! Check out her blog for directions on how she used the Copics.

Sue is also from the UK and an artist who really steps out of the box! Sue does everything from fabric to decorating SPOONS!!
Here are a few items she’s done up using our stamps and I’m sure you will want to visit her blog to see all the different kinds of things she has done.
As with Jo Capper-Sandon, we are thrilled to have Sue working up some designs for us. Are we lucky OR WHAT??? Thanks Sue!
This first group is Sue’s SPOONS. She’s used a variety of Daniel’s goth girls. I love the colors that she has brought in.

Jo Capper-Sandon

Jo Capper-Sandon lives in the UK and is a SUPER TALENT. We are so lucky to have her designing for us. Here are two different cards Jo developed.
The first is using a clear acetate card with Smile and sun design.
The second card is using Leeta. Since Leeta is simply a stamp of a head, Jo drew the clothing to fit on the imaginary body. Isn’t the whole thing GREAT??? You can go to Jo’s blog to see more of her great work and read about what she’s been up to. Thanks Jo!
