Some people look at Marci and think, EEK! But Jo Capper-Sandon felt that Marci would do well in the midst of an “English garden” of sorts. With a little bit of this and a little bit of that we have a lovely and sweet Marci standing among the roses. Isn’t she darling?
BTW this photo can be enlarged by simply clicking on it. This snowman, an original image by Daniel Torrente, knows what is important in life. Jo Capper-Sandon brought him to life in a way only she can do! Instead of me trying to explain her technique, here are her own words, ” I created a splashy background from Glimmermists being sprayed onto plastic sheeting then ‘mopping’ up the colour onto cardstock. I stamped the snowman in black Memento and coloured what I felt needed to be shaded areas in with Copic markers. I drew the heart and string in a non bleed fineline pen then attached ribbon to finish.”
I could read her words forever! Couldn’t you? You can almost imagine her talking with the beautiful British accent.
Isn’t the internet wonderful? It brings all of us crafters together in the push of a button. Thank you Jo. Love your work! You can find more of Jo’s work in the Craft Stamper magazine; a British publication.
Jo Capper-Sandon has been on a roll and we’re the ones that can enjoy the results! Thank you again Miss Jo.
With a bit of color change Moth Fabonce again brings in the Christmas season with a bit of JOY to all.
More from Jo Capper-Sandon for your stamping enjoyment! Here she’s used Moth Fab along with some bits and scraps and the end result is FABulous!
You can find Jo’s blog here.
She does it again! Very little color, but yet the final look is wonderful.
Black and white is perfect for STRIPED SHIRTS and the hint of pink in the flower makes everything POP. You can click on these for a larger view.
If you follow this blog, you know that Terri Sproul has been doing some interesting things with our stamps. She loves to demonstrate all kinds of techniques from using paper clay to watercolor. We never know WHAT she’ll be up to. Its always a surprise. If you live in the San Diego area, you can catch her teaching or doing demos at various shops. Be sure to check her blog.
Here is Terri’s latest ARTY in WATERCOLOR using some of our stamps. If you are interested, you can find ARTY here.
Irina Blount is our newest designer and she has just posted her first item made for us, using BABYCAKES.
Designed by Irina Blount
I love the colors she has used and her finishing touches. Irina’s loves to use layers and lots of embellishments. You can read more about the products she used by going to her blog. She used crystal stickles on Babycakes to help her stand out. Find that here. Thanks, Irina!
Here we have a taste of Christmas. I love what was done with Noelle here. She is just fresh from being kissed under the mistletoe!
As usual, with Daniel’s goth girls, they have a bit of an attitude, thus the ‘jingle your own damn bells!’ Naughty but nice! Get a start on your holiday cards! Christmas is only a little over 6 months away! The gifts in the background are found here. A GREAT card by Hella Sjolund.
Here we have little ‘Mort had a pincurl‘ standing next to the ‘town of Goth‘ thinking to himself, ‘couldn’t you just pee your pants?‘ Maybe the town of Goth is too scary for him? Hmmm. I think its quite a lovely town actually. Mort could be a bit of a scaredy pants, after all, he DOES have a pincurl in the middle of his forehead! I just wish he would get his teeth sanded down a bit. Vicki did a GORGEOUS job as always. Using her COPIC markers, she spun her magic.
We were hit hard this year with three high school graduations all at once. What to do? I came up with the idea of re-cycling! Here’s what I did.
Happy Graduation, Katie!
Using SUPERGIRL, I stamped her a few times and colored her in using my COPICS (thanks to learning some skills from Vicki Garrett). After cutting her out I then cut out an additional skirt, heart and shoes and popped them up with foam tape. She needed a graduation cap so I cut out a little mortarboard for her head and sewed a little tassel with some gold metallic thread. Voila! She’s all ready to graduate. Since the Graduation announcement was so pretty, I used it as my ‘card’. I also cut out Katie’s name from the enclosed name card and glued it on the front. The announcment wording was not lost either, but instead, I cut it out and glued it to the back of the card. Katie would now have something to insert into her scrapbook.
Next came Morgan’s card.
Happy Graduation, Morgan!
Done the same way except in REDS to match her high school colors. And Morgan has blonde hair so her SUPERGIRL was just a tad different.
Third was a young man, Jamal.
Happy Graduation, Jamal!
Using BOWTIE, I colored in with blue for Jamal’s high school colors.
Happy Graduation everyone! May you all stride for good grades while still having time to enjoy some college fun! We’re so proud of each and every one of you! Bonne Chance Mes Amis!
